Step 3 – Register Your Child for a Place

Once you have finalised your decision, we ask you to complete our Registration Form and submit a non-refundable fee of £75. Your child will then be recorded as a Registered Pre-Admissions pupil.

Entry into Nursery follows the order of registration, with priority given to siblings of enrolled pupils. Nursery entrants are expected to progress through the school.

We recommend an early visit to secure registration and ensure your child’s place in our Nursery.

Step 4 – Confirm Your Child’s Place: Acceptance and Deposit Process

In preparation for your child’s start at St Christopher’s, we guide you through the formal acceptance process approximately a year prior to their start date.

  1. Receive Important Documentation: Our Admissions Team will send you essential paperwork.
  2. Complete and Submit the Acceptance Form: Take the next step by completing the provided Acceptance Form. This formal document signifies your commitment to securing a place for your child at St Christopher’s School.
  3. £750 Deposit: Accompany your Acceptance Form with a deposit of £750. This deposit is a important step in finalising your child’s enrolment. It will be held securely and later refunded against the final term’s invoice upon your child’s departure at the end of Year 2, adhering to the outlined terms and conditions.

Step 5 – Settling-in at St Christopher’s

As your child prepares to join our main Nursery, we’re dedicated to making their transition smooth and enjoyable. By offering the following settling-in process:

  1. Online Familiarisation Materials: Before your child’s official start date, you’ll receive online materials and captivating stories designed to familiarise your child with the upcoming adventure at St Christopher’s. These engaging resources pave the way for a positive introduction to our learning environment.
  2. Pre-Nursery Afternoon Settling-In Sessions: Attend our specially crafted Pre-Nursery afternoon settling-in sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays. These sessions are an integral part of our comprehensive settling-in process, providing an opportunity for your child to become familiar with the new surroundings, meet their peers, and build early connections with our dedicated staff.

Embark on this journey with St Christopher’s, where every step is thoughtfully designed to ensure a seamless transition into our nurturing and enriching learning community. We look forward to welcoming your child into an environment where curiosity is cultivated, friendships flourish, and the love for learning begins.

Spaces in Other Year Groups

At St Christopher’s School, we recognise the importance of continuity in education. As our Nursery pupils progress through the school, we prioritise a smooth transition into the next phase of their academic journey.

For Existing Nursery Pupils: Pupils currently attending our Nursery are seamlessly transitioned into one of our Reception Classes, ensuring a familiar and supportive environment as they advance through the school.

For External Applicants: Entry for external applicants is based on the order of registration, with an emphasis on prioritising siblings of current enrolled pupils.

Opportunities for Reception Places: We welcome interest from external families for Reception places, and a small number of places may be available. We will invite your child in for a taster session when we will carry out informal observations. Places are usually offered during the Spring term prior to your child joining Reception in September.

Year 1 and Year 2 Availability: In certain circumstances, a small number of places may become available in Year 1 and Year 2 due to the relocation of current families. This provides an opportunity for new pupils to join our school community. Please refer to our admissions policy for further information on the assessment process.

For enquiries about availability and to explore these opportunities, please contact the Admissions Team.
