The date for Shrove Tuesday varies from year to year and this year falls in half term.  That didn’t stop us from following a centuries old British tradition (first recorded in 1445) and running the annual Pancake Race which for us is an inter-House Relay Race. The brightly coloured House tshirts brightened up the grey day.  Every single child took part.  The Main School ran first with Nursery and Pre Reception waving their House flags and cheering from the side lines. Then both groups swapped over and the 3 and 4 year olds, inspired by the older children, raced along with their frying pan flipping with confidence!  Congratulations to Ahlberg House who won the Upper School Race  and to Donaldson who won for the Lower School.
