Exciting visitors……

To enrich our exciting topic, ‘Where Did you Get That Hat?’ Year 1 have welcomed a range of interesting, but very different visitors. First, Jessica Rae who is a Milliner based in Ewell, came in to demonstrate how she makes hats using recycled objects including feathers. We were impressed that she makes hats for the rich and famous, for many different occasions. Next we had Mrs Rajeev (Satvika’s mummy) come in to demonstrate how to wear a traditional Indian Sari. She also talked about how they were made and who would wear them. Finally we had one of our Governors Mrs Park, who works for the Police, in to talk to the children about the police and of course their uniform. We were lucky enough to try on hats, saris and some police uniform.
