Juniper Hall

Our annual residential Year 2 trip was a huge success this year. The children eagerly accepted all the challenges when pond dipping, orienteering, setting humane mammal traps and invertebrate investigations to name but a few. Working beautifully together in small groups the children showed impressive independence and maturity and extraordinary amounts of energy and resilience with their outdoor learning fun. Not a moment was wasted and before dinner the children enjoyed a rounders match. After we had all enjoyed our hot meal we headed off for campfire fun with toasted marshmallows and hot chocolate punctuated by campfire song!

The dormitories were full of excited chatter and laughter but as the children ended their day with sheer delight at the chance to have a giant sleepover with their friends.

After a hearty breakfast we headed outside again for more games and investigations before climbing up beautiful Box Hill for lunch. The adventures continued with some impressive shelter building in the stunning woods. Then tired but happy we all thanked the wonderful Field Centre team and congratulated Year 2 for being super stars. All of us then returned home with some very special memories to treasure.
