Poetry Recital Week

Every year we are amazed by the talent and confidence shown by our youngest pupils during our whole school Poetry Recital Week. Every child in the school learns a poem and recites it bravely in front of their teacher and class friends earning themselves a well-deserved certificate. Then on Wednesday a few stars from each class perform in front of the whole school on a stage with a microphone. On Thursday we hold the Great Final and our guest judges were governors Mrs Crossley and Mr Mainstone who had the nearly impossible task of choosing 3 winners in the upper school ages 6-7 and 3 in the lower school 3-5 year old category involving Nursery, Pre-Reception and Reception. What a magnificent week full of poetry fun.
