Respect at the Field of Remembrance

In the presence of the Mayor, Councillor John Beckett and local MP Chris Grayling and other special guests, Year 2 attended the Opening of the Field of Remembrance alongside a large number of other local schools at Bourne Hall in Ewell. Year 2 sang their stunning song ‘In Flanders Fields’ with words written in 1915 by First World War soldier Lieutenant John McCrae. The children then planted their poppy crosses which they each had written upon with a message thanking those who have given their lives for their country.
