On Monday Year 2 were invited to join the Mayor and other distinguished guests to open the Garden of Remembrance at Bourne Hall in Ewell. They sang ‘In Flanders Fields’ with lyrics by Lieutenant-Colonel John McCrae written 100 years ago. This beautiful song with solos by our own Annie and Millar set the scene perfectly and the children listened with care to facts about Remembrance Day and then planted their poppy crosses to remember those who gave their lives for their country.
