We all enjoyed our wonderful World Book Day experience this year. Based on Allan Ahlberg’s children’s books The Happy Families, we invited staff and pupils to dress up as a character from the rich selection of book characters on offer. Master Money the Millionaire, Mr Brick the Builder, Mrs Plug the Plumber and Mrs Vole the Vet were amongst the excellent costume choices. The day was spent enjoying theme related activities with Mrs Wobble the Waitress’s Bouncy Castle experience and Master Bun The Baker’s Bread Making class to name but two. We ended the day with Mr Jolly’s Joke Shop fun with a joke contest which was judged by Mrs Hibbert our PTA Chair. Special thanks to Mrs Taperell for designing and organising this wonderful day.
