First MERU

The whole school turned out to support our wonderful MERU fundraising day. The charity that we have chosen to support this academic year is MERU with a wish to buy at least one electronic BUGZIE wheelchair for a child in need. The legendary generosity of St Christopher’s parents was demonstrated once again with our Fun Mile Run. Younger children were paired with older children for the 10 lap run and children impressed us with their speed and enthusiasm as they ran towards the marshals following each lap to get their card stamped. The sponsored run included residents in wheelchairs from Mr Barrett’s Tanglewood Home and the atmosphere was just like a carnival. Well done to everyone. We raised an amazing £2197.92 in sponsorship.
