Tudor Jerkin

Using our study of Alexander McQueen in conjunction with our study of The Tudors, Venus Class have made this beautiful leather Tudor jerkin.  We used images of Tudor Rose windows to influence the shapes that each of us cut into our leather square. Once these were cut, we punched holes into the sides and joined them by threading through leather thongs.  When these formed a patch-work rectangle with arm-holes, we backed this onto fabric and secured any folds with leather knots for a better fit.
