A Rainbow of Joy at Colour Run
23rd March 2026
The penultimate week of the Spring term ended on a spectacular high at St Christopher’s, as our fantastic PTA delivered a truly unforgettable Colour Run for the whole school.
From Nursery to Year 2, children eagerly took part in the vibrant event, arriving dressed in old clothes, sunglasses and goggles, ready for the excitement ahead. The school grounds were transformed into a joyful course, complete with rainbow arches and a crawling mat, setting the scene for an afternoon full of laughter and energy.
Each class lined up with their teachers before setting off, running, jumping and crawling their way through bursts of brightly coloured powder. With staff and PTA members on hand to shower the children in a rainbow of hues, white t-shirts quickly became dazzling canvases of colour. By the end of the run, it was almost impossible to recognise anyone beneath the layers of vibrant powder – but the smiles on the children’s faces said it all.
Inspired by the beautiful Hindu festival of Holi, the Colour Run celebrated joy, togetherness and the arrival of Spring. With clear blue skies overhead and the school’s magnificent magnolia tree in full bloom, the setting could not have been more perfect.
Thank you to our wonderful PTA for organising such a fun, creative and memorable event for the entire school community.
