Elf Run Spreads Festive Cheer for The Children’s Trust
10th December 2025
Our annual Christmas fundraising campaign has once again captured the spirit of the season, with the whole school community coming together to support the incredible work of The Children’s Trust, a local charity supporting children with brain injuries.
This year, the children were given a very special festive challenge: to don their pointy-eared elf hats, roll up their stripy sleeves, and find creative ways to raise money at home. From our youngest learners in Nursery to our oldest children in Year 2, the children embraced the idea with enthusiasm and generosity. They were sponsored for a wide range of helpful activities, including walking the dog, tidying bedrooms, litter picking in the community, helping with recycling, getting dressed independently – and much more besides!
The highlight of the campaign was our much-loved Elf Run, which took place on Tuesday. Despite a rather wet and grey day, the field was transformed with colour, laughter and festive cheer as our determined elves ran 10 laps with smiles on their faces. Their energy and resilience perfectly summed up the spirit of the event.
Across the week, the whole school community has embraced the festive fun, showing kindness, determination and teamwork. Thanks to the generosity of families and friends, the total raised through elf activities and online sponsorship has now reached an outstanding £1,800 with donations still coming in to our Just Giving page.
We are incredibly proud of what the children have achieved and hugely grateful to everyone who sponsored, supported and encouraged them along the way. It was truly wonderful to see our community coming together for such a meaningful cause and spreading the true spirit of Christmas through giving.
