Special Guests Join Children for Father’s Day Challenge

It was a pleasure to welcome fathers, grandfathers and other special family members and friends to St Christopher’s on Friday for our annual Father’s Day Challenge.

The school was full of energy as families spent the morning taking part in a range of activities together, sharing plenty of smiles, laughter and a little healthy competition along the way.

In Nursery, children were delighted to invite their VIP guests into the classrooms to decorate biscuits, design colourful ties and take part in a rather entertaining shaving challenge.

Meanwhile, children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 put their creativity and teamwork to the test by recreating famous landmarks from around the world using paper cups. Families tackled the elegant curves of the Sydney Opera House, the ancient arches of the Colosseum and an especially ambitious Great Wall of China, which grew so long that it looked as though it might just stretch across the entire playground!

With the excitement of the World Cup in the air, there were also some impressive displays of footballing talent, as families competed in a keepie-uppie challenge and tested their shooting skills in the ever-popular ‘Beat the Goalie’ competition.

In the hall, children and their guests teamed up for a geography-themed quiz, testing their knowledge of famous landmarks, towering mountains and spectacular waterfalls from around the globe.

A big thank you to all the fathers, grandfathers and special people who joined us and helped make the morning such a joyful and memorable experience for the children. Your enthusiasm and willingness to get involved made the celebration truly special.

At St Christopher’s, we are proud to be one big family, nurturing children from the age of two and creating opportunities for our community to come together, celebrate and make lasting memories.
