St Christopher’s Named Pre-Prep School of the Year

We are thrilled to announce that St Christopher’s has been named Pre-Prep School of the Year at the prestigious Independent Schools of the Year 2025 Awards.

At the awards ceremony in London on 14 October, our Headteacher, Mrs Bronia Grehan, proudly accepted the award on behalf of our whole community. The judges recognised St Christopher’s exceptional approach to early years education and our unwavering commitment to giving children the very best start in life.

This award reflects all that makes St Christopher’s so special: a nurturing, family-centred environment where every child is known, valued and inspired each day. With small class sizes, dedicated staff and a rich curriculum from the moment children join at 2¾, pupils flourish as confident, happy learners. Specialist teaching from the outset in subjects such as PE, Music, French, Art and Forest School adds breadth and excitement, while our strong focus on wellbeing and pastoral care ensures that every child feels safe, supported and celebrated. The award also highlights our forward-thinking approach. By nurturing curiosity, building resilience and instilling a lifelong love of learning, we are preparing children not only for the next stage of their education but also for life beyond the classroom.

Reflecting on the award, Mrs Grehan said:

“This recognition is a wonderful affirmation of what makes St Christopher’s such a special place. It is the children who bring our school to life each day, supported by staff who go above and beyond to create magical, inspiring first years of education. We are delighted that the judges have recognised the joy, care and ambition that lie at the heart of St Christopher’s.”

This award is a proud milestone for St Christopher’s – but more than anything, it reminds us of what matters most: happy children, inspired learning, and a warm, supportive community. We are so proud of the St Christopher’s community and excited to continue giving our children the very best start in education.
