Year 2 Take on Leadership Honours
18th September 2025
Today, the school came together for a very special assembly to celebrate our Year 2 pupils as they were awarded their Leadership Honours. It was a proud occasion for the children, their teachers and their classmates, as Year 2 discovered the important roles they will be taking on this year.
As Mrs Grehan announced each leadership position was announced, the children were warmly welcomed to the front, where she presented them with their Leadership Honour badges to the applause of the whole school. Smiling with pride, they returned to their seats, ready to take on their new responsibilities.
Our new Year 2 leaders will take on a variety of exciting roles that help them play an active part in school life. From the Head Boy and Girl, who lead by example with kindness and responsibility, to the Deputies who support them and plan special activities, each role brings something unique. Prefects keep play times happy and inclusive, while First Aid Officers lend comfort and promote healthy habits. Librarians share their love of books, and the School Council Chairs make sure every pupil’s voice is heard.
Our Eco, Sports, Music and Art Captains encourage creativity, teamwork and care for the environment, while the House Captains raise team spirit through house points and competitions. Together, these roles give every child the chance to contribute, build confidence and make a positive difference across the school.
The assembly was a wonderful way to recognise the importance of leadership from a young age, and to celebrate the confidence, kindness and enthusiasm of our Year 2 pupils. We know they will wear their badges with pride and make a real difference to life at St Christopher’s this year!
