A Special Mother’s Day Challenge

It was wonderful to welcome mums (and Grandmas) into school on Friday for our much-loved annual Mother’s Day Challenge.

The morning was a joyful celebration of the special women in our children’s lives, filled with singing, laughter and the chance to spend time together at school. The morning began with the children singing a heartwarming Mother’s Day song. The children then took part in a carousel of fun activities in each classroom and there was plenty of creativity as mums and children worked together to make colourful beaded bracelets, while others enjoyed drawing portraits of one another – with some wonderfully accurate likenesses on display. There was also a lively dance workshop which brought lots of laughter and energy to the morning.

To finish the celebration, the children proudly presented their mums (or grandmas) with a bouquet of bright daffodils as a small token of their appreciation. It was a truly special morning and a lovely opportunity for the children to celebrate the wonderful women in their lives.
