Dental Health in Reception

Our week began with a visit from Alan Wilson, a local dentist to talk to the children about the importance of looking after our teeth. We wanted to make books for the Nursery children explaining how to clean their teeth, so we had to become experts. First, We listened to an informative but fun song, then we practised cleaning our teeth with a toothbrush, toothpaste and a 2 minute timer! To check that we were expert teeth cleaners we used disclosing tablets to see if we had any plaque left on our teeth. We had great fun looking in mirrors as our mouths turned red, purple and blue! This memorable experience will ensure that we continue to clean our teeth expertly morning and night every day.
