Year 1 and 2 Shine in a Swashbuckling Show
16th June 2026
What a treasure of a performance from our Year 1 and Year 2 children as they took to the stage last week for their end-of-year production of Treasure Island.
Audiences were whisked away on a thrilling pirate adventure packed with laughter, music and excitement. The children brought this much-loved story to life with confidence, enthusiasm and remarkable professionalism, delivering a show that was both entertaining and unforgettable.
The production showcased just how much our children achieve during their time at St Christopher’s. Alongside learning lines, songs and stage directions, they performed beautifully choreographed dance routines, sang with confidence and impressed audiences with a number of wonderful solo performances. Their energy and enjoyment shone through in every scene. Adding to the magic was the fantastic staging, creative props and colourful costumes, which transformed the hall into a world of pirate adventure. Together, these elements created a truly immersive experience and provided the perfect backdrop for the children’s outstanding performances.
Year 2 led the way with confidence and maturity, expertly supported by our enthusiastic Year 1 classes. Every child played their part, demonstrating fantastic teamwork and encouraging one another throughout rehearsals and performances alike.
Productions such as Treasure Island are about so much more than performing on stage. They help children develop confidence, resilience, communication skills and creativity. Watching our children stand proudly in front of packed audiences and perform with such assurance was a wonderful reminder of how much they grow during their time with us. Congratulations Year 1 and 2 – we are incredibly proud of you all!
