Harvest Festival
9th October 2017
On Friday the whole school walked down to St Martin’s Church in the crisp autumnal sunshine gently guided by staff and parents for our annual Harvest Festival. This is the first ‘performance’ of the academic year and as usual we marvelled at the confidence and evident enjoyment shown by everyone. Every class learns a poem to perform including Nursery and each year group then learn a song. The children shone as they took to the stage in this beautiful setting and we were thrilled to see so many parents and families sharing this delightful occasion. Year 2 impressed everyone as they narrated their lines during the entire festival without a prompt! Seeing such young children perform with such courage made us all very proud. A representative from Lunchbox the local Food Bank charity who received all your food contributions commented upon the generosity of our wonderful families.
