Sports Day
9th July 2017
The sun shone brightly as the whole School enjoyed a day of competitive sport at its very best. Following the success of the Nursery Sports Day held in the morning, Reception, Years One and Two headed out with banners and flags waving to the annual Chariots of Fire theme. The Year 2 Opening Ceremony was triumphant. Every child then competed with passion and fair play and winners were rewarded with a podium moment as well as the inner joy that results from success.
Three legged races and sack races were accompanied by obstacle courses and the famous whole school Relay. The magnificent PTA were delighted with the sales of Pimms and juices and the atmosphere was relaxed and happy. We were delighted to offer the first Mums race followed by one for Dads which were all run with good humour if a strong hint of the competitive spirit referred to above! At the end medals were awarded including one for Jamie Hogarty for outstanding sportsmanship across the Year. Thank you to Mrs Pryor for such a wonderful event.
