Poetry Success

The challenge just before half term was for every child to learn a poem ready for our special Poetry Week. Children as young as 2 to the grand old age of 7 shone brightly as they stood up in front of their class and confidently delivered their chosen poem or rhyme.  Some had props and some had costume but all were a joy to hear.

Following a Highly Commended Assembly on Wednesday we moved to the Grand Poetry Final today and in front of judges Governor Adam Goldman and Forest School expert Jay Bristow the children galloped through a range of terrific poems filling the Hall with verse and applause. First, second and third prizes in each age group were awarded by our wonderful judges who made some very difficult decisions. Well done to all our competitors and thank you all for a wonderful morning.
