Under the Sea

Reception are enjoying their new Under the Sea topic and have been exploring the submarine role play, investigating water and natural materials, counting and adding with sea creatures. We have been using the part-part whole model in maths to explore number. In Literacy we have been focusing on The Rainbow Fish and have written our ideas about how we could share with others and how it makes us feel. We have also written some amazing speech bubbles to show what we think the characters might be saying to each other in the story. At the playdough table we have been creative making Rainbow fish by adding colourful buttons and coloured stone for the scales. We have all made sea creatures using hand prints to make our classroom displays look beautiful and had fun printing and using collage to create Rainbow fish to write in.
