We’re going on a bird hunt…

This week in Nursery, our focus has been on exploring the fascinating world of birds, after the children where inspired by a wonderful assembly from an RSBP conservation scientist.

The children have delved into learning about various bird species commonly found in our gardens and across different countries. Among the many birds discussed, the robin proved to be a familiar favourite among the children. Our outdoor space underwent a delightful transformation into a bird-watching haven, where the children enthusiastically utilized binoculars and bird spotting sheets to document their sightings.

Further engaging activities included crafting bird feeders in the Kitchen and observing the avian visitors they attracted when hung from nearby trees.

It’s been an enriching week filled with hands-on learning and creative exploration in Nursery!
