Outdoor Adventures

The Reception boys and girls have had a wonderful time exploring the chilly outdoors today. They looked at the frosty ground, leaves and sticks and talked about how the weather has effected them. They also looked at the Beech and Chestnut trees and compared them to when it was Autumn.

Fun was had by all when collecting sticks, then comparing and ordering them by size. The children also looked at the bulbs they planted last term and described what they could see. They compared the plants which were covered and had no sunlight to the uncovered ones. Jemima aged 4 said, “Some were in the dark and some were in the light. The ones in the dark were light green (stems) because they didn’t see the sun.  It is called a snowdrop.” Wow AMAZING.
